Entrepreneurs and companies are becoming increasing aware of the benefit of protecting their Intellectual property (IP), be it in the form of patents, copyrights, trademarks which have the potential to earn people recognition or financial benefit from their ideas.
This session will provide some insight from one of the island’s leading IP specialists, FR Kelly, on harnessing your IP and give advice on protecting your ideas.
Stephen Waller, B.Eng(Hons), Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, Registered Patent Agent (Ireland), Community Design Attorney
Stephen works in the general field of mechanical engineering and has particular experience in automotive, agricultural and offshore engineering. In addition he has experience of Oppositions and Appeals before the European Patent Office.
He joined FRKelly in 2008 after several years in practice in Northern Ireland and England. He was previously a Senior Patent Examiner in the UK Patent Office and has an honours degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Manchester.
