Join festival curator, Jan Carson and much-loved local poet Jean Bleakney for an informal hour of readings and chat. The perfect opportunity to discover a little more about Hillsborough Festival of Literature and Ideas and plan your route through the weekend.
Jean Bleakney was born in 1956 in Newry. Her selected Poems was published in 2016 to coincide with the appearance of her work on the GCE Advanced Level syllabus. Her most recent collection No Remedy was published by Templar in 2017.
Jan Carson is based in East Belfast. Her books include, “Malcolm Orange Disappears” and “Children’s Children” (Liberties Press), and a microfiction collection, “Postcard Stories” (Emma Press). Her next novel will be published in spring 2019.
