With tons of events happening every day, your potential attendees can be spoilt for choice and the competition between events can be tough. In fact, 34% of ticket inventory goes unsold due to lack of awareness about events. So, how can you ensure you get those bums on seats, and hit your sales targets?
With 65% of ticket buyers stating that social media influences their choice of event and purchasing decision, we recently launched an additional feature (BETA) that enables event organisers to offer incentives to turn their ticket buyers into sellers through social sharing.
The results so far have been phenomenal with one of our events selling 22% of their 12,000 ticketed events through our referral system, and we want to roll it out for everyone soon. In the meantime, however, we are offering early access to those who want to try this free feature!
How it works:
Once you have logged in and your event is live, you will have an ‘invite friends’ button added on to the ticketing widget. Your attendees see this when purchasing a ticket.
Once selected, your ticket buyer has the option to enter their email address to attain their own unique link to share with their friends. You can tailor the message depending on what rewards you want to offer in the referrals details tab of your event admin.
Offer great incentives
Every sales person needs an incentive to sell. Your attendees are no different. If you want them to promote your event then you have to give them some motivation. These can be financial incentives such as money back or discount off your next event, or why not give them the opportunity to meet one of your speakers, or have a backstage pass?
Whatever you decide, make it something that is valuable for your attendees and affordable for you.
Let your attendees do the selling for you!
With their own unique referral link, your attendees can begin sharing your event with their networks! Once their friends sign up, you’ll see their referrals in your event admin area. This will show you each sellers email address, referral code, and the amount of tickets they have resold for you.
